Apple Mail Greezing after the update to iOS 18.5? Here is a corrective that you can try

Do you make problems with the Apple Mail application on your iPhone from update to iOS 18.5? If so, you are not alone. A multitude of people complain about technical problems with the application since the installation of 18.5 iOS on their phones.

Some say that Apple Mail is frozen or does not answer. Others report that the screen becomes empty or white. The people affected by the problem have sounded on several forums, in particular Reddit,, MacrumorsAnd Apple’s own discussion community.

The problem apparently affects different iPhones, it is therefore specific to any model. The only common thread is that the problem apparently started after applying iOS 18.5. Curiously, the reports are all recent, just from the last day or two. However, Apple published the last flavor of iOS almost a month ago on May 12. If the problem was introduced by iOS 18.5, why do people meet it earlier?

How to solve the problem

Whatever the cause, many affected users say that closing and reopening the application solves the problem, but only temporarily. Even the restart of the phone is at best a dressing, because the problem is invariably returns.

On the Apple discussion community, a person said they had spoken with an Apple support representative who advised them to Force their phone. After taking these tips, the person said that Apple Mail worked well for four hours and was counting.

Although many people are affected by the bug, it is probably not widespread at this stage. I tried to use the mail application on three different iPhones with iOS 18.5 but I have not encountered any problem.
