Apple releases iOS 26.2 beta 2 for iPhone

Apple has released the second beta version of iOS 26.2 for iPhone. The developer beta is available as an over-the-air update starting today.

iOS 26.2 introduces a number of new features and improvements, including changes to the Sleep Score system.

The highest rating was renamed from “Excellent” to “Very High” and thresholds for all categories were recalibrated following feedback that the previous rating seemed too generous.

The update also brings improvements to Apple Podcasts using AI, which now automatically generates chapters, links to mentioned podcasts, and organizes related content.

Meanwhile, the Apple News app is getting a more polished layout with quick links to popular sections as part of Apple’s ongoing design updates.

Additional improvements include the expansion of AirPods Live Translation to European Union countries.

The update also introduces a Liquid Glass lock screen slider that allows more precise control of clock translucency between fonts.

Finally, the Reminders app has the ability to trigger alarms and timers for urgent tasks, ensuring that notifications can bypass Focus modes for maximum visibility.

We expect iOS 26.2 to officially launch in December. We’ll update our coverage with changes in iOS 26.2 beta 2.
