In his press release For the New Pride Band today, Apple said that iOS 18.5 was “to come”, after more than a month of beta tests.
We expect the candidate for the iOS 18.5 version to be published later in the day, and this should be the final beta version, unless last minute bugs or changes. The software update should then be published to the general public next week.
IOS 18.5 is a relatively minor update for the iPhone, with only a few additions discovered so far. Below, we are recaping all known changes.
More specifically, there are some modifications in mail and parameters applications. The update will also include a new Pride wallpaper for iPhone and iPad.
In the mail application, you can now easily deactivate contact photos directly in the application, by pressing the circle with three points in the upper right corner.
It was already an option on the previous iOS versions, but it was buried in the parameter application.

Pride
Apple has announced its 2025 Pride collection today, including a new Apple Watch group, Watch Face and a matching wallpaper for iPhone and iPad.
The new sports group Pride Edition has rainbow stripes which vary in shape and in size, and it is available on order on Apple.com from today.
Apple said that an assorted iPhone and iPad wallpaper will be available when iOS 18.5 and iPados 18.5 will be released to the public. The wallpaper offers colorful scratches that change the position when users move, lock or unlock their devices.
