Apple launched the first beta public versions of its next operating systems on Thursday, allowing the first adopters to experience the most important visual redesign of the company since iOS 7. The press release includes iOS 26, iPados 26,, MacOS Tahoe 26, Watchos 26 and TVOS 26, all with the new “Liquid Glass” design language which emphasizes transparency and light refraction throughout the user interface.

Apple has integrated this design into key applications, including telephone, camera, safari and music, as well as system areas such as locking screen, control center and home screen.Beyond visual changes, the update offers significant functionality improvements on all platforms. IOS 26 presents live translation in real time for messages, telephone and applications Facetime, as well as a new call screening feature that invites unknown appellants to identify. The telephone application also wins Hold Assist to inform users when music of music ends. A dedicated game application is now used as a centralized destination to discover and play games, while users can personalize the alarm repetition times and enjoy the Genmoji playground features and updated image.iPados 26 provides Mac type features with the preview application for the PDF annotation and a new window system to manage multiple applications and web pages simultaneously. MacOS Tahoe 26 improves projectors with an anticipation of research fueled by AI and adds live activities synchronized with iPhones to access recent calls and contacts.The Watchos 26 Beta presents Workout Buddy, a fitness coach offering personalized motivation, in parallel with an automatic volume adjustment that adapts to the surrounding sound levels and a new film gesture with one hand to reject the notifications. The TVOS 26 BETA allows a seamless profile switch when Apple TV wakes up from sleep and allows iPhones to work like microphones for Apple Music music with words on the screen.

Users can access public beta via the Apple beta website after registration. The company strongly recommends installing beta software only on secondary devices due to potential stability problems. The stable versions of iOS 26, iPados, MacOS 26 and other bones’ should be launched this fall, representing the most complete update of the Apple operating system over the years with the unified Liquid glass design Language covering all platforms.
