Apple to deploy iOS 26 September 15

Apple will deploy iOS 26 to all eligible devices from September 15. It comes after months of developer tests and public beta since its introduction to WWDC in June. The test phase has seen some of the most vocal comments received for an iOS update, with divided views, especially on the “liquid glass” interface. The update provides a deep interface overhaul and the beginnings of the AI advanced tools on disk, even if the full functionality is limited to its new equipment. Users can expect to access it from September 15.

The most visible change in iOS 26 is the visual aesthetic of “liquid glass”. This design deviates from the long -standing flat style, introducing soft and translucent surfaces through the components of the system such as the control center, notifications and menus. These elements now seem to float, refracting the background shades and application icons with layer animation and reactive similar to Visionos. Widgets and application icons move subtly when users tilt their devices, also giving a feeling of dynamic depth. There are a total of four themes available – dark, light, tinted and clear.

This new design extends to the home screen and the locking screen, giving application icons and widgets a dynamic layer in layers that changes as a user tilting their device. The aesthetics, which is inspired by the company’s visionos, is a decision that some users have compared to a modern and more refined version of the aerodynamic glass of Windows Vista. In addition to this, iOS 26 provides an adaptive power, a functionality that (as the name suggests) adapts according to use (such as the reduction in the brightness of the screen) and the monitoring of the head, in which the head movements are followed to move the pointer on the screen.

Apple Intelligence will also obtain several new features with iOS 26. The combination of capacities fueled by AI, which include improved writing tools, an image generator on the system scale called Playground, and a deeply integrated and aware SIRI, will now include reading mode, live translation of voice and gemo messages and calls). Other features include a new game application, the integration of Apple Intelligence into third -party applications, as well as the care of visually offset users with braille access.

The other upcoming features on iOS 26 include calls for calls (to allow users to manage their incoming calls) and background surveys on the messages application. Users will also be able to pin their favorite soundtracks at the top of the library, and Apple removes linguistic barriers on the songs by bringing the possibility of translating the words of the songs in other languages (so the next time you hear a song in an unknown language, Apple has obtained your back).

However, it should be noted that even if iOS 26 supports iPhone 11 devices, Apple Intelligence will only be available from the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone XS, XS Max and XR do not have the chipset (Bionic Apple A13 or more recent) to execute iOS 26.
