Apple Wallet’s new boarding goes to iOS 26 now supported by a large airline

At WWDC earlier this year, Apple has unveiled three key upgrades for the boarding passes in the Apple portfolio. Now, shortly after the public launch of iOS 26, United Airlines added the management of the new set of features.

With iOS 26, users on supported airlines can take advantage of improved boarding passes in the Wallet application. With these improved boarding passes, users can follow their flight with live activity, easily see an airport card and follow their recorded luggage in search for search.

There were a number of airlines that promised to support this functionality, and United seems to be the first. According to Apple, Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, Jetblue, Jetstar, Lufthansa, Qantas, Southwest and Virgin Australia will also support this feature at a given time.

In the current state of things, you do not obtain the live activity by default. According to our anonymous witness, you must press a button on the Wallet application to add the flight tracker to your locking screen.

In addition, if you choose to share the flight tracker with your friends, they can also see the same activity live on their locking screen, less your boarding group and your seat number.

Overall, it’s great to see a large airline support this functionality so early. I hope there will be much more to come in the near future.
