A week after the first public beta iOS 26, Apple published iOS 26 Beta 5 for developers. With this new test version, the company continues to change the next operating system update before its fall version.
In the fifth beta version, Apple continues to refine the IOS 26 experience with improved animations, design adjustments and some new tips to improve the user experience of the iPhone. Most of these new features will be welcome for those who have tested iOS 26 for a few months, but once available for all users, they will simply be happy to know that everything works as expected.
That being said, we have drawn up a list of some of the most important changes in this beta update, including an adjustment for a problem in the messaging application that made users crazy, because it complicated what was once a simple experience of selecting messages to report, to move between the boxes or to delete.
iOS 26 beta 5 is all about adjustments
Mail: For me, the most important change in iOS 26 beta 5 is a dedicated selection button in the messaging application. Previously, it was hidden under a few menus, but now it is visible all the time and easier to access.
Camera: In the parameters of the application of the camera, there is a new switch called classic mode, which reverses the direction of scrolling the switching of the mode. If you cannot get used to the new scrolling, it is for you.
Bouncing entertainment: Apple has added new animations to type a password on the locking screen and when the iPhone plays music when locked. You will also notice a more bouncing control center when you slip between the pages.
Low battery notification: Apple has a whole new animation when your iPhone reaches a 20%battery, including a shortcut to activate the low power mode.
New icons: Apple reorganized the Ardrop icon and added a new one for the Fitness + tab in the Fitness application.
Of course, Apple continues to correct bugs and also improve battery drainage problems in previous versions. This beta version also seemed to flee the display resolution for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. While we find more modifications in this update and other beta versions to come, we will not let you know.
