  • Google Chrome on Android now obtains the Overcurrent Owl -Overbook.
  • The functionality instantly transforms the contents of any web page into an interactive podcast.
  • It was previously available in the experimental version of Chrome, but now seems to be widely deployed.

Chrome for Android now gets a new upgrade powered by AI for its high -aloud functionality. Instead of simply reading the full text of a web page, the browser can now use AI to generate an audio preview for content that works like a podcast.

Android Authority’s Mishaal Rahman spotted the functionality of the stable version of Chrome for Android, suggesting that it is starting to deploy more widely. When activated, AI creates a web page summary and reading as a podcast conversation between two AI hosts. The goal is to transform any boring article or block of text into a quick interactive listening experience.

To access the chrome loud -style reading function on the Android application, open a web page, press the Plus icon (three points) at the top right and select Listen to this page. The new audio survival feature is available here. A new button in the superposition in reading mode next to the reading speed option allows you to switch or deactivate AI playback.

I don’t want to miss the best of Android authority?

We previously reported this feature ago when it was available in Chrome Canary, an experimental version of the browser that Google uses to test new features. After that, we also spotted AI for Chrome audio on Android in a beta version of the application. Now it seems that Google finally deploys the functionality of regular users in the stable version.

In particular, the functionality is borrowed from the Google Notebook application, which was the first to offer audio previews generated by the AI to transform long shape into digestible podcasts. In March, Google also introduced audio previews in Gemini, and now with its inclusion in Chrome, it is great to see the useful functionality get a wider audience.
