Chrome is Google’s first iPhone application with liquid glass

With launch of iOS 26 Earlier this week, Google Chrome 141 was deployed with liquid glass adjustments to the iPhone and iPad.

As a reminder, Chrome for iOS has an interface and an experience different enough from the Android version. Beyond obtaining the lower address bar in October 2023 (vs July 2025), there is a unique tabularity grid and a lower leaf menu (see below).

Liquid glass changes start on the tab grid with the incognito group switch (which is always visible), the tab and the tab group, as well as the search on the left. Modify and finished also get the same treatment below.

The contextual menus have been updated to the new style for a more modern experience that does not blur the background.

The lower leaf no longer goes from edge to edge with more rounded corners, while the menu elements also collect this additional curvature. This is also the case in the settings, with a new icon made / check and the activated / deactivated downflows updated.

There is also a new tab loading indicator which adopts the iOS Pinwheel style instead of the circle.

Meanwhile, iOS 26 has a new keyboard with a more rounded sheet and keys. Chrome has long nailed to an additional line with access to voice research, Google Lens and other useful keys like .com and Slash. It is now a rectangle floating above the main keyboard.

It remains to be seen how the other Google applications will adopt liquid glass, but I would venture that this rapid implementation in Chrome is specific to the pre -existing / unique user interface of the browser. For all other Google applications, I assume that a recompilation of the latest SDK which brings the new keyboard could be the extent of the modifications for some time (although this has not yet taken place with any other application update that we have verified this week).

Google iOS applications are always a mixture of material theme (maintain, calendar, tasks) and equipment 3 (gmail, cat, house, cards, meeting, photos and research), the first aging a little.
