As state and local governments across the United States seek to operationalize artificial intelligence in their daily operations, a major technology provider working with these jurisdictions has released six new AI tools.
The new feature comes from CivicPluswho is perhaps best known for creating municipal websites. However, the company offers many other government technology products and services, and the new AI capabilities reflect that.
According to a press releasethe tools are intended to “reduce manual work, streamline workflows and bring clearer operational insight.” The new tools are:
- CivicPlus Agent: A Civic Impact platform agent that integrates with CivicPlus products and answers user questions.
- CivicPlus Athena: An agent within the CivicPlus Staff Center who can answer questions and streamline workflows.
- AI content advisor in municipal websites: auditing and reporting focused on response engine and search engine optimization, as well as content quality issues.
- AI editing assistant in municipal websites: AI assistant to generate content, improve writing and summarize information.
- AI Editing Assistant in Agenda and Meeting Management: AI assistant for writing, polishing and formatting agenda items and minutes in real-time.
- AI-enhanced category search and photo analysis in SeeClickFix 311 CRM: Analyzes photo content and suggests the correct service request category.
The company noted in the press release that its AI offerings are developed with “humane safeguards, strong privacy protections, explainable AI, and adaptability to evolving regulatory requirements.” AI tools are available through the Civic Impact platform and are part of the CivicPlus Intelligence roadmap.
