Today, Anthropic rolled out Claude Code on the web and iOS, launching it as a search preview to subscribers of its Pro and Max plans. Here’s what that means.

Over the past year, most developers who have used LLMs as part of their coding workflow have agreed that Claude is among the best LLMs for this task.
Building on this, Anthropic released Claude Code earlier this year, which is essentially a command-line tool allowing developers to delegate coding tasks to Claude directly in their terminal.
With today’s update, Anthropic is now extension Claude Code to the Web, allowing developers to “run multiple tasks in parallel on different repositories from a single interface”.

Claude Code on the web allows you to launch coding sessions without opening your terminal. Connect your GitHub repositories, describe what you need and Claude takes care of the implementation.
Each session takes place in its own isolated environment with real-time progress tracking, and you can actively nudge Claude to adjust his course as he completes his tasks.

The company says the web version of Claude Code is ideal for performing well-defined tasks, such as bug fixing or other routine updates. However, it can also handle tasks like back-end changes and answer questions about repository organization.
When it comes to security, Anthropic strives to explain the technical aspects of the sandbox framework it uses, and you can find this documentation here And here.
As for the iOS appAnthropic notes that, like the web version of Claude Code, this is an early look at research, so the company hopes to “rapidly refine the mobile experience based on” developer feedback.
But essentially, it will provide developers with a quick way to review code, complete small tasks, or check the progress of ongoing coding sessions.
