IOS 26 has a whole new design material that Apple calls liquid glass, emphasizing transparency that allows the content of your display shines through the controls. If you are not a fan of the look or have problems with readability, there is a step that you can take to make things more opaque without losing entirely on the new look.
Apple has several accessibility options designed to personalize iOS for different visual needs, and one of these options is to reduce transparency. The layoff on reduction of transparency adds a darker background to translucent areas such as the control center, application icons and application files, improving contrast.
You can activate transparency reduction by opening the parameter application, by moving to accessibility, selecting the screen and text size and pressing the reduction in reduction transparency. If you want to be able to turn on and turn off the parameter quickly, you can add it to your accessibility shortcuts to access it from the control center interface.
Transparency reduction activation does not delete any translucent of the iPhone interface, but it gives an entire opaque look. It does not change the shape of the pimples or returns things to a pre-IOS look 26.
We are still very early in the beta test process, and Apple will provide adjustments and refinements to the design of liquid glass according to user comments. It is always difficult to get used to an entirely new interface, so if you are a developer who performs the beta version and you find it difficult to settle or read text, temporarily activate transparency could help relieve the transition.
In all likelihood, most people will adapt to the design of liquid glass updated in a few days. Apple has not made significant changes to the interfaces and at the disposal of applications, so even if there is a brand new look for ios 26, Apple says that it will always feel familiar to people.
Liquid Glass could be different at a time when ios 26 launches to the public, and we will see it evolve in the coming months. Currently, ios 26 is limited to developers, but a public beta version arrives in July. A launch will follow in September.
