An American judge ordered Apple to delete its restrictions on alternative payment methods, which prompted Epic Games to offer the deletion of its long -standing dispute and to bring Fortnite back to iOS devices.
On Wednesday, judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ordered Apple to stop forcing a 27% commission on purchases made for iOS games and applications via web links, which developers had used to avoid its payment costs in store.
It also ordered Apple to stop encouraging messages dissuading users from using web links and ordered that Apple pays the avocado fees of epic games on the problem.
More importantly, the judge said that Apple had violated an injunction of 2021 and that vice-president Alex Roman had “pure and simple lying under oath”. The company could now face accusations of criminal contempt.
After the decision, the manufacturer of Fortnite Epic won a victory. He said that if Apple agreed to apply the decision on a global scale, she would abandon all current and future disputes, including her struggle to bring her own store back to iOS and bring Fortnite back to the platform next week.
In a press briefing after the news, transcribed by Game activityEpic CEO Tim Sweeney Said: “We Were One of Apple’s Best Partners for More Than a Decade, from the point we released infinity blade for ios and Did Amazing Unreal Engine Support, right up Up Up Upstil We Started Fighting them in 2020. A Good Decade of Awesome Partnership. Law Being Classified, and Apple’s Legal Obligations Under these Consumer Protection Laws Being Clear, and now with Apple Being Forced by the Court to Adhere to Them, That Hopefully We Can Put Our Conteste to Rest.
“I have been fighting Apple for a long time. But I am an iPhone client. It’s a great device. I love having it. I do not like the policies that Apple has developed with regard to stores, but there is a lot of respect for Epic towards the quality of the product and the concentration of Apple.
