It has been several weeks that an American court ruled that Apple could no longer prevent developers from using third -party payment providers for integrated purchases. This move opened the door to Fortnite to return to the iOS App Store. However, Apple now finds apologies apparently new to keep the game out of the store
Epic Games submitted to Fortnite for the App Store on May 9 and May 14, Apple had still not approved the game. Now, Epic says that Apple “blocked” the return of Fortnite At the App Store:
Epic says that Fortnite on iOS “will be offline worldwide” until Apple unlocks the game. Apple has not publicly commented on the question.
Fortnite had existed on the IOS App Store for years before Apple draws the game due to an update which included a third -party payment method, bypassing the Apple rules that all applications use Apple Pay. Since then, courts around the world have considered this practice as illegal, forcing Apple to allow developers to use third -party systems for integrated purchases. In some parts of the world, Apple has also been forced to allow third -party stores and sidelines.
Kitguru says: I expect that we get more news about this next week. Epic wants Fortnite to come back to iOS, so it will push as much as possible.
