Apple has announced its most important software revision in a decade at the 2025 World Developer Conference, launching a “Liquid Glass” interface and announcing that iOS (and other Apple OS) will be renamed per year, making the next update of the iOS 26 operating system.
The Cupertino Major has promised that liquid glass, a new translucent material, will make the user interface more fluid, dynamic and personalized, will add a new dimension to elements such as screen, applications and widgets, and bring content to the front and center.
