Assembly Assembly / Android Authority
Tl; DR
- Google deploys an updated superposition for the Gemini AI assistant with a more rounded design.
- The new interface presents an animated circular input which develops in a pill -shaped shape, completing the rounded design to give the superposition a fun appearance.
- We previously spotted these modifications and they now appear to certain users.
Google has made great progress with Gemini, to the point that it is tied with its competitors. Its default presence and its deep integration in the flagship products of Android help give it a ready user base, and I know many people who have warmed up to the IA digital assistant. Google had tested a subtle adjustment of the superposition of Gemini to make it more attractive for users, and it seems that the company has now started to deploy it to certain users of the stable branch.

During the last month, Google worked on certain adjustments to the superposition of Gemini, including modifications of its coloring and its shape, as well as animation changes. Reddit user Disasastrous_box1177 (via 9TO5GOOGLE) reports that they received the change, and they shared a video showing a more round gemini superposition with inflatable animation.
We have also received reports from Telegram Eduard Silviu, Francisco Bravo and Matthew Rawling, all of which received the new superposition and animation.

The new superposition of Gemini has a more rounded shape. For animation, it now begins like a circle that slides from the gesture bar and develops in the shape of the pill, rather than sliding from the bottom of the screen in a more finished state. As we noted when we spotted the change for the first time last month, the new animation is very bouncing and funny, and the new form synergizes also very well to give Gemini a more pleasant appearance.
Note that this deployment seems to be quite limited at this stage. Let us know in the comments if you have also received the new superposition!
