Gmail for Android deploying the “Mark As Read” button in notifications

Google brings a notable improvement in the quality of life of Gmail notifications by adding a “Mark As Read” button on Android.

To date, Gmail for Android notifications allow you to “answer” and choose between “archive” or “delete” (parameters> general parameters> default notification action).

Some Gmail users (via Android authority) begin to see a new option “Mark As Read” which first appears in the row of actions. Immediate access to this from notifications provides a practical means of e-mail sorting without opening the real application. It is a less drastic action compared to archiving and deleting your reception box entirely.

So far, there are only two reports of this deployment on the server side during last week. It is not available on the devices that we have verified today. Historically, Gmail takes a little time to largely deploy the features.
