Five months after launching on phones, Google AI mode now appears on Android tablets.
AI mode is part of the Google application on Android (and iOS). In terms of obtaining new features, the Google research experience on tablets is often lagging behind phones, even if larger screens are a more pleasant research and navigation experience.
This was the case with IA mode, but this is finally corrected with Google App 16.30, which is Currently in beta version.
On our Pixel tablet, AI mode now appears at the top of the home / discover flow, while the shortcut is now available in the pixel launcher or the home screen widget. To delete / define, go to the Google application settings.
Tapping brings you to the same quick bar with image downloads and Google lenses on phones, but has spread. This is not the most optimized interface (stick to the orientation of portraits on the landscape), but it works more than works and is better than having to visit Google.com/aimode in Chrome. Meanwhile, the answers seem well because Google simply uses the layout of the AI mode desktop.
The Google on iPad application uses an even older than Android design, with AI mode not available today.
