For the most part, Google was good enough to cover these things and a announced a new update which will come out to correct two critical bugs up to date zero (via Techcrunch). You will certainly want to update your devices, because these vulnerabilities could cause a certain chaos if you are not careful.
An update required for all Android users
Google shares that one of these bugs is “a vulnerability of critical security in the system component which could lead to a climbing from a distance of privileges without any necessary additional execution privilege”. The frightening part on this subject is that it does not require any user interaction. Of course, there are protections in place to prevent this kind of thing from happening, such as Protect game.
Those who do not perform Google devices will be happy to know that the brand has shared this information with others, which means that other companies should also search for these shortcomings on their devices. Although they are not yet available, Google shares that source code fixes will be available in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository.
Regarding the moment, Google shared that it will update the repository in 48 hours. For the moment, the links to these modifications are not available but should be delivered with a future update. Although this update is a minor, we expect big things from Google, thanks to a previous version that usually from the next version of Android. Android 16 should arrive in June 2025.
