Google Maps will receive a new NIFTY upgrade with the continuous deployment of the expressive update of equipment 3 (M3), the new visual identity of the Android designer which he slowly pushes towards his suite of applications.
Let’s see what you can expect from the Android 16 fed update (and why it could be so subtle that you will not notice it immediately).
It is not only a visual refreshment, but an intelligent overhaul of the place where the key pimples go and how certain information is presented. Key changes are:
- The navigation buttons, such as “directions”, “Ask” (gemini) and “sharing” are now locked at the bottom of the screen
- Overviews, criticisms, photos, etc. were all moved at the top in place of the buttons
- Other information, such as addresses or telephone numbers, is now housed in expressive “containers”
- Although this change is not enormous
- It will make the phone easier to use with one hand, which is important when navigation on the move
- There could still be more modifications, with 9TO5MAC noting that the dynamic color (which can modify a color palette to correspond to the user settings, such as wallpapers) is still not used
- It is only in the beta version of the application, so we will have to wait and see what the final version will look like when it arrives
- Google Maps soon seems to get other updates, such as Bring live updates to the screen always on the screen (a bit like on iOS)
- 9TO5 Mac has a good selection of images of what the new update of cards will look like – check it, because we think it seems much better, even if the adjustments are small.
