Thursday afternoon, some users of Google Messages plan the application a few seconds after the opening.
For people affected, the launch of Google messages on the home page (conversation list) closes the application after a few seconds.
Curiously, they can successfully respond to notifications or use cat’s head / bubble.
This happens with the latest beta version (version 20250805_00_c00) published yesterday, with reports from Android 16 (and 16 QPR1) on Pixel and Samsung phones. Not all users are affected.
Basic troubleshooting steps such as restarting the device or the compensation cover does not help. Some were lucky for application information and uninstalling updates to the three -point overflow menu in the upper right corner. Reinstall update solves the problem. This will not erase the history of your message.
