- The Lists of Mobile Applications of Notebooklm are now live
- The research application soon arrives on Android and iOS
- Expect to hear more news on Google I / S 2025 on May 20
After referring to the imminent arrival of an application Notebooklm last month, Google has now put the research application on AI live on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for mobile devices. You cannot yet download it, but you can pre -order it – and that gives us a good early overview of what the promising application looks like.
“ Pre-order ” The application means that it will automatically download on your phone when launched in full, which according to the Apple App Store list (via 9TO5GOOGLE) is May 20 – the same day as the start of Google I / O 2025, where we will undoubtedly hear more about this application.
If you have never met NotebooklM before, this is a resource tool powered by the AI that can gather information on documents, web pages and more – you can get intelligent summaries, ask data about data and even produce false podcasts (which you can interrupt, if you wish).
It seems that the application includes the creator of the podcast (or “audio preview”), based on the screenshots of these lists. We can also see screens to add sources, and for the conversation panel where you can discuss sources with AI.
An alternative to Gemini
Google will undoubtedly give us the complete history of this application in a few weeks, but almost all the features of the web application seem to have been postponed – including the possibility of adding laptops and browsing the laptops you have created on the web.
Notebooklm is a useful alternative to Google Gemini for moments when you need the help of AI with a specific set of equipment that you have collected – perhaps a scientific research project or reports on a current industry trend.
Based on my experience with the tool, it is generally more straight and serious than Gemini, and includes quotes with all its answers – so that you can check if it has made mistakes. You get higher use limits and higher personalization options in Notebooklm if you are subscribed to a premium Google One AI plan.
It seems that there is a wealth of news from IA coming out of Google I / O 2025 from May 20 – including, perhaps, an update on AI mode for research – and we will of course bring you all the announcements as they are made.
