Google published the third and beta final of the first quarterly version of Android 16 (QPR1). Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3 is available without a detailed Changelog, which is typical of these versions. We have already started to dig into the construction to find out what is new, however, and here is what we have discovered so far.

Note: At the time of the publication of this article, Google published only the generic images of the system (GSIS) for Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3. The update has not yet started to deploy for Pixel phones. Once this is the case, we can dive deeper into the version to see what is new.

The screen follow can now zoom in on the keyboard

In Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3, there is a new one “Magnify the keyboard“Option under Settings> Accessibility> Broking. This feature allows you to “zoom in the keyboard to see emojis and letters when using a complete magnification.”

The stable version of Android 16 QPR1 is scheduled for September 3, 2025, but the beta for QPR2 is probably starting before that. If you are currently in the beta version of Android 16 QPR1 and want to receive the stable public version, this is the right time to unsubscribe from the program. Staying registered will probably lead to the automatic update of your device to the next beta track (QPR2) instead of stable construction.

This article will be updated as we find new features. Come back later for more information!
