Brand new in iOS 26 beta 2
Apple This week provided developers with the second beta version of iOS 26, presenting the first changes and refinements of the new operating system since it made its debut at the WWDC Keynote. Because we are at the start of the beta test process, there are a lot of settings at ios 26 with this new beta version, and we gathered them in an article and the video that accompanies it.
Among the changes are improvements in the appearance of the control center with the new liquid glass design, a new discovery ringtone hiding in the first beta version and which is officially available in the beta version of this week, some adjustments for Safari and the Wallet application, and more.
The basic model of the iPhone 17, basic rumors come in new purple and green colors
One of the most popular subjects of rumor and speculation before the unveiling of each generation of iPhone is the color options for the different models, and this year is no exception.
According to a source with a mixed assessment, Apple has tested new options of purple and green colors for the ordinary model of the iPhone 17, although it is possible that one of them will reach production and it would most likely be the purple model. We will see in September if it is correct!
The 20th anniversary iPhone may not have any screen design after all
There is a controversy of rumors that prepares for the extended Apple iPhone roadmap, launched by BloombergMark Gurman claims in last month that Apple aims to reduce the size of the dynamic island in iPhone 2026 models before going to a design any screen with curved glass for pro models in 2027.
The analyst of the Ross Young display, however, said this week that the chronology will be a little longer than that, the smallest dynamic island in 2026 being followed by an additional withdrawal in 2028 which will see all the elements of identification of the face remaining to move under the display with the remaining separate camera. Young thinks that it will not be before 2030 that everything can move under the display panel to deliver the full screen design.
These Apple Carplay Ultra partners now say that they do not support it
Apple faces the mounting resistance of car manufacturers on Carplay Ultra, the new generation version of its Carplay software system for vehicles that was officially launched last month.
A new Financial Times report says that several major brands return their previous commitments to support improved dashboard software. German luxury manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and Audi both moved away from the system, as well as Volvo, Polestar and Renault.
Porsche remains determined to support the functionality in an unrecognized time, and Hyundai, Kia and Genesis had just been announced as new partners last month, so they also seem to be on board.
The new lifestyle of the IOS 26 battery is only available on these iPhone models
IOS 26 presents an Opt-in adaptive power supply mode on the iPhone, which, according to Apple, can make “small performance adjustments” when necessary to extend the battery life of an iPhone, including a slightly drop in the screen or to allow certain activities to “take a little more time”.
The functionality will only be available on some of Apple’s most recent iPhone models, as it requires Apple intelligence to work. This means that the adaptive power mode will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 15 Pro Max and all the iPhone 16 models. All the iPhone 17 models later come this year will of course support it.
Iphone driving licenses: these 17 American states offer them or will later be
Digital driving licenses in the Wallet application on iPhone are currently supported in nine American states and Puerto Rico, but Apple previously announced eight other states that have signed to adopt the functionality in the future, and there will be almost certainly others.
IOS 26 will also present a new digital ID based on an American passport. Nationally users will be able to use this digital passport for an identity check at airport security control points when traveling at the national level, although it does not replace a necessary physical passport during its international trips.
