Apple messaging application improvements
In iOS 18.5, Apple has made two important improvements to the messaging application after the controversial overhaul of version 18.2.
“”Mail reception box display is now available – it appears on the right edge of the screen and allows easy switching between the categories and the full list of emails.
Contact photos in the list of emails can now be activated or deactivated directly from the application menu (via the three-point icon in the upper right corner), not only via the parameters.

The screen time function, designed to monitor the use of devices and particularly useful for parents, has received an update: parents will now receive notifications each time a The password has entered the device of a child to bypass the restrictions.
Purchases of the Apple TV application
Previously, the functionality “Buy with iPhone” only worked on Apple TV, but now it is also available on televisions and streaming devices from third -party manufacturers. This means that you can subscribe, buy or rent movies in the Apple TV application and confirm the purchase with your iPhone, quickly and conveniently.

Satellite features on iPhone 13
Previously, satellite features were only available on the iPhone 14 and more recent, but iOS 18.5 now makes them accessible to the iPhone 13 range (including Mini, Pro and Pro Max). For example, T-Mobile users will be able to use Starlink satellite connectivity in zones without cover.
However, specific apple features such as emergency SOS via satellite always require more recent equipment and remain not supported on the iPhone 13.
