Apple published PowerBeats Pro 2 in February as the first earpiece with heart rate monitoring, and iOS 26 will further improve this functionality.
Many of the improvements will bring the PowerBeats Pro 2 in accordance with the new AirPods Pro 3, which also presents monitoring of the heart rate.
From iOS 26, the cardiac frequency frequency functionality of PowerBeats Pro 2 will work with the apple application application on the iPhone, according to a Beats spokesperson. With the headphones, you can follow your heart rate and your calories have burned on 50 different types of training in the fitness application, without Apple Watch required for this.
Apple Fitness + subscribers with PowerBeats Pro 2 will be able to display real -time performance measurements directly on their iPhone, such as heart rate, burnt calories and burning bar, without wearing an Apple watch.
Here are more improvements to come to PowerBeats Pro 2 with iOS 26, according to Beats:
- A single PowerBeats Pro 2 earphone can be used for heart rate monitoring during training sessions.
- PowerBeats Pro 2 Count the steps taken when your iPhone is not on you.
- PowerBeats Pro 2 and Apple Watch can simultaneously provide heart rate data.
- Siri interactions on PowerBeats Pro 2 will allow you to nod your head yes, or will shake your head no, when Siri you ask if you want to answer an incoming call, hear an SMS, manage notifications, and more.
- A new algorithm provides faster heart rate reading.
- A notification will encourage you to potentially improve the adjustment of your PowerBeats Pro 2 to improve reading the heart rate.
The last two improvements will extend to Android.
IOS 26 will be published on Monday September 15, and a corresponding update of the PowerBeats Pro 2 firmware with these improvements will probably be published on the same day. The PowerBeats Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3 are both at a regular price at $ 249, the first offering a more fitness design with ear picking for a secure adjustment.
