IOS 26 is launching all users this fall, but during the summer, Apple continuously updated via a beta process. Today, iOS 26 beta 3 has arrived, and a change is an extended range of color options for the new default wallpaper.
New iOS 26 wallpaper now available in four colors
Each year, iOS presents a new default wallpaper for users. Often this wallpaper includes several color variants.
With iOS 26, the previous beta had only one blue version of the default wallpaper.
But now, from iOS 26 beta 3, Apple offers four different versions:
- Shadow
- Sky
- Halo
- And the most exciting of all: twilight, a new purple / pink
Shadow, Sky and Halo are all catching blue.
Although you can always discover different versions of standard blue wallpaper in older beta, these alternative versions were linked to the appearance parameter of your system.
For example, you would see a lighter version when your iPhone is in light mode and a darker version in dark mode.
But now there are three blue variants completely distinct from wallpaper in iOS 26 beta 3, plus the superb new twilight color.
