To the editor: Salesforce eliminated 4,000 jobs due to artificial intelligence (“The CEO of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, said that he had reduced 4,000 support roles due to AI”, “ September 2). This means 4,000 less roles than employees pay taxes on payroll to support social security and health insurance. The government is expected to create legislation that makes AI “workers” pay for these social programs – in other words, AI -responsible companies make the difference.
These technological companies would still make a lot of money. If the “workers” of the AI will replace us, why should they avoid paying taxes on the value they provide to their employers?
