September can get all glory with new iphones, Apple Watch and the major annual outing of the operating system, but Apple generally has a lot in October as well.
This year is no exception. We are awaiting the beginnings of the M5 in iPad Pro and perhaps MacBook Pro, and perhaps also some other products and accessories. The first iOS Point version is underway with a few interface touch -ups and quality of life improvements. Is it all enough for an Apple event? Maybe!
New equipment
We will almost certainly obtain at least a new major version of equipment in October, but there could be several new products unveiled, which could be sufficient to qualify for a second fall event. This is what could be on the way.
IPad Pro M5: The strongest rumor is a next iPad Pro update with an M5 processor. He even obtained an alleged unpacking of Youtuber Russian Wylsacom, and he looks legitimate. It is mainly an update of the M4 to M5 chip.
M5 MacBook Pro: The M5 MacBook Pro update should also be just an update of the chip, and this could happen before the end of this year, but more recent rumors said that it could be delayed until the beginning of next year.
Airtag 2: Persistent rumors indicate a release date in 2025 and we lack the year. The new AirTag should have a longer beach and make the speaker falsification more difficult.
Apple TV 4K (4th generation): The third generation Apple TV 4K was presented three years ago and we are late for an update. It is supposed to come this year and have an Apple n1 wireless chip and an A17 Pro or A18 inside, for future compatibility with the advanced features of Apple Intelligence.
HomePod Mini: A new update version of the Homepod Mini was also published for its release this fall. He should have an Apple N1 networking chip and a much more recent S-Series processor. Many intelligent house stuff was delayed until the new Siri was released (spring 2026, according to rumor), so this one might not do it.
Vision Pro 2: Updating the pro vision would have landed before the end of the year, with a M4 or M5 chip, a more comfortable head strap, special improvements in the neural engine and perhaps some additional internal upgrades. It will not be the major new generation version that we want with a much lower price – it’s still a year or two.
Software applications and updates
In early October, it is when we get the X.1 update for the new operating system each year, and this year is no exception. We are already beta iOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, TVOS 26.1, etc. And it is mainly focused on varnish and some improvements in quality of life.
Liquid glass interface elements are more coherently applied to operating systems; There are new languages for Apple Intelligence and Live Translate; Apple Music obtains beautiful scanning gestures (finally); And some testers report a great improvement in the battery life on MacBooks compared to the initial version of MacOS 26.
