The American army could soon obtain virtual equipment (VR) and augmented reality (AR) manufactured by Meta, after the social media giant united its forces with the defense entrepreneur and Ururille to develop the devices.
Helmets will use the command and control system powered by Adjuril, the network platform, to integrate data from thousands of sources and provide information on the battlefield in real time, Andundil said May 29.
He added that the helmet will give soldiers an “improved perception” and “intuitive control of autonomous platforms” during the missions.

The financing of the project came from private capital, and the hope is to take advantage of the components and technology originally built for commercial use and to reuse them for military applications.
