Microsoft has licked its objective scanner application for iOS and Android

One of Microsoft’s most popular mobile utilities heads for blocking. The PDF scanner of the lens has long been a must for quickly transforming documents and white tables into shareable files. However, it will be withdrawn on Android and iOS later this year.

As indicated by BIP computerMicrosoft says that elimination will start in mid-September 2025, when new installations on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store will be deactivated. The application will disappear from the two stores by mid-November, and will lose the possibility of entirely creating new scans after December 15, 2025.

Previously known as the desktop objective, the Microsoft Lens application can transform the printed or manuscript text into PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files, and has been downloaded more than 50 million times on Google Play. It is also appreciated, with nearly a million criticism with an average of 4.8 stars on Android and the same note on iOS.

Existing analyzes will remain visible in the Myscana folders after the cut -off date, but Microsoft pushes people to its Copilot Microsoft 365 application instead. This application offers many basic features of the objective, although it lacks popular extras.

The disappearance of Lens is part of a larger Microsoft spring cleaning effort. In recent months, the company has obsolete the password not recommended automatically on the password in the Microsoft Authenticator application, announced the end of Microsoft Publisher in 2026, and put the publication of 3D paint of the Microsoft Store.
