The legislation prohibits banks from debating customers for interacting with the crypto, said Farage. He also talked about the implementation of a tax on capital gains of 10% of cryptographic assets, arguing that “if the taxes are reasonable, people will pay them”. He opposed the implementation of a digital currency from the British Central Bank (CBDC).
Reform UK has recently been ascending in British polls; The party also performed well in local elections earlier in May. The next general elections, however, are currently scheduled for August 2029.
The party announced Thursday that it would become the first European political party to accept the donations of crypto.
