Openai continues the push towards a future of artificial intelligence. After the launch of GPT-5, the company announced on Thursday a new initiative to certify people in the use of AI, in partnership with the power of Walmart retail to get there.
In a press release, the CEO of OPENAI of Fiji Simo applications wrote: “Studies show that IAI warned workers are more precious, more productive and are paid more than workers without AI skills. This is why, earlier this year, we launched the Openai Academy, a free online learning platform that helped connect more than 2 million people with resources The communities they need to control AI tools.
“Now we are going to extend the academy by offering certifications for different levels of AI control, the basics of using AI to work to AI personality jobs and fast engineering.”
OPENAI has set itself the aim of certifying 10 million people by 2030 and will receive the help of Walmart, one of the company’s launch partners.

In August, Openai unveiled the GPT-5, describing it as a significant upgrading of its predecessors and a major step in the capacity building of large language models.
Openai CEO Sam Altman described the model as “as having a team of doctoral level experts in your pocket”. Altman also believes that the GPT – 5 marks a major step to reach general artificial intelligence (AG).

In the press release announcing the certification, Simo said: “If we want to put more power in the hands of more people, not just a few lucky people, we have to help everyone, at all levels, to take advantage of the opportunities that accompany AI. We still have a long way to go, but it is an important step in the right direction.”
