Penn State Altoona kicks off new colloquium series exploring AI topics


ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will kick off a symposium series on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 12:05 to 1:20 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge in the Slep Student Center. The event will include a panel discussion on the promise and perils of artificial intelligence.

Panelists include Dave Barnes, teaching professor of information science and technology; Nathan Hollister, instructional designer; and John Eicher, associate professor of history.

The symposium is an opportunity for colleagues to present their work – whether research, creative projects or educational innovations – and engage in meaningful conversations and Q&A.
