  • Google has a big launch to come this summer, with the Pixel 10 series which will take place.
  • A new rumor suggests that the company is also working on affordable new “Pixel Buds 2A” headphones.
  • We could also get a new color option for Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Can you believe that it’s been four years now since Google introduced its headphones from the A Pixel Buds series at affordable prices? In the years that have followed only once that we have one, but two generations of Pixel Buds Pro models, but without any new movement on the side of the fence. Now in 2025, with the Pixel 10 family preparing to make their debut, is it finally time that we see Google doing something about it?

A new rumor certainly requires as much, with a leak Arsène Lupine Return to X to follow their report on Pixel 10 color options with some attractive suggestions on Google’s planning for its audio accessories.

By the sound of this, Google may have planned to share the Pixel 10 family with a new “Pixel Buds 2A” which would be available in your choice of hazelnut, strawberry, iris and fog.

We do not know if this Buds 2A brand is supposed to be descriptive or how the headphones would really arrive, but it represents a minor gap in series A that we have now. At least we can appreciate that the color options listed here seem a little more dynamic than the neutral tones in which series A is currently available.

Speaking of colors, Lupine Cons up another minor detail, saying that we also get a new option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the four existing shades being joined by a new color in sterling pounds. We have heard that Sterling Gray mentioned as a possible pixel 10 color before (although the recent Lupine report does not include it), but now we are curious to know if it could be just another matte option, or if it can represent a kind of new metallic finish.

Although these listening rumors land in the midst of a wave of claims on Pixel 10 phones and their accessories, there is technically nothing here which affirms that we will see them all arriving together, we therefore assume that Google can retain their introduction to a certain point later in the year. At least, it’s a bit strange that we haven’t heard more about them if they really get started in a few weeks, but it’s still a lot of time for more 2A bud leaks.
