Quick Share’s full makeover is now hitting more Android phones now

Google updates fast sharing with a new major look, and it is now available for more users. The complete overhaul of the application replaces the old layout of the lower sheet with an interface with two pavers, which makes it less like a background utility.

When you open the quick sharing from quick settings, the Share System menu or Google files, you now see two options at the bottom: send and receive. This update has been developing for months, the first signs appearing in April, and it finally reaches more devices, according to 9TO5GOOGLE.

The updated receiver tab highlights the name of your device and makes it briefly visible, so that people nearby can send you files. During a transfer, you see a live progression bar, and at the end, you get shortcuts to your downloads or Google Photos. There is also a new profile photo option for easier identification, as well as visibility parameters that allow you to choose who can see your device: contacts, your own devices or everyone for 10 minutes. It is less strict than before.

The Send tab now facilitates sharing files. Quick Share has its own file selector, so you can select and preview several files of different types at the same time. After that, you will see your devices and those nearby in a grid, as well as an QR code option for quick torque.

Fresh parameter page with material you flair

Beyond the basic tabs, the update also brings a new page of parameters (see the gallery above) with a material that you design, simpler tips and easier to control which can see your device. It becomes clear that Google means that fast shares feel more like a complete application instead of a simple basic tool.

The complete overhaul now appears on more Android phones via an update on the server side, with Google Play Services version 25.37.31 or more recent being a requirement. Samsung users performing beta builds have had an early taste, but the update is developing much more widely now.
