Cloud Data Management and Data Security Company Rubrik inc. today announced the launch of Rubrik Agent Cloud, a new service intended to accelerate enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence agents while managing the risks associated with AI deployments.
AI transformation has become mandatory in many organizations, but IT leaders are constrained because agentic AI carries significant risks, including hallucinations as well as compromises from malicious actors. Rubrik Agent Cloud is designed to monitor and audit agentic actions, apply real-time guardrails for agentic changes, refine agent accuracy, and undo agent errors.
Rubrik Agent Cloud is built on the Rubrik platform that uniquely combines data, identity and application contexts to provide customers with security, accuracy and efficiency as they transform their organizations into AI enterprises.
“Often, IT and security leaders don’t know what their AI agents are doing or how to fix their mistakes,” said co-founder and CEO Bipul Sinha. “Rubrik wants to help them answer: ‘Which agents do I have?’ “What are they capable of? “How do they behave? » “What did they do?” and ‘Can I undo this when they’re wrong?’
Rubrik Agent Cloud offers comprehensive agent management capabilities that cover the entire AI agent lifecycle, from observability and control to performance management and simulation.
The first feature of the service, called Agent Monitor, automatically discovers both infrastructure-as-a-service agents and platform-as-a-service agents. It also automatically discovers and maps active agents from popular agent builders such as OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock and other popular agent building tools. Agent Monitor also continuously monitors agent activity and data access and maintains immutable audit trails capturing data, identity and application context.
The second feature, Agent Govern, tracks agent usage, evaluates performance against prompts, and gives teams the tools to control destructive/unwanted actions. The functionality also defines and enforces agent behavior, access and action policies in real time.
The latest feature, Agent Remediate, integrates with Rubrik Security Cloud to provide precise time and range restoration of unwanted or destructive actions. According to Rubrik, Remediate goes beyond observability to enable organizations to instantly undo unwanted or destructive actions without any downtime or data loss.
“AI agents have the potential to cause 10 times more damage in a tenth of the time,” Sinha added. “With Rubrik Agent Cloud, we are uniquely addressing this challenge by leveraging our leadership in data, identity and resiliency to help our customers deploy AI agents with peace of mind.
Agent Cloud is now available through limited early access for select customers.
