Samsung has just launched its Beta One UI 8 program and, alongside that, confirmed the launch window for its next Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, while they will be the first devices to launch with Android 16.
In his announcement of the Beta One Ui 8 program, Samsung confirmed that his “new folds” would launch “this summer”. The alignment with previous rumors of a launch date in early July and is the first time that the company has confirmed this planned launch window.
Samsung adds that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will be the first devices to include the stable update of the User Interface 8, which means that they will probably be among the first, otherwise THE First, the devices to run Android 16 out of the box.

A user interface is the integrated software platform of Samsung, designed to help galaxies devices to simplify daily routines and improve productivity and convenience. Thanks to the mutual partnership between Samsung and Google, One UI 8 will start on new Samsung foldables this summer and will gradually extend to more Galaxy devices so that users can now enjoy an enriched and more personalized mobile experience with the latest version of Android.
In addition to being the first generation of upgrades to launch alongside new foldable devices, the launch of One UI 8 also initiates a new rhythm for the evolution of Samsung software with the major UX and AI updates.
The beta version of the UI 8 is available today for users of the Galaxy S25 in Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, while other devices and regions will have to wait until the moment.
