Over the years, Samsung’s foldable phone launches have been very reliable. We see two phones for each launch: a book Galaxy Z in book style and a Clamshell style flip galaxy z. However, it seems that the formula could change in 2025. This is due to Samsung which has just announced that a foldable ultra brand book style is coming this summer.

In the press release, Samsung uses several specific sentences which give us an idea of what it goes. Some choices are “all without weighing down” and “goes beyond a simple list of improved features in a smaller and more portable form factor”. It seems that the company continues to focus on thin and light form factors that it started with the recent Galaxy S25 EDGE.
The GIF above sends this house, each panel of the mysterious foldable being quite thin – certainly thinner than the most recent Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Google Pixel 9 Pro, for example, is thinner than any foldable Samsung book style, and Chinese brands like Honor and Huawei have made phones so thin that it is surprising that they are not slamming in half.
Of course, the slimming of the Galaxy S25 Edge was castigated by criticism and fans, because this slimming means significant compromises, including small batteries and missing cameras. The Galaxy Z Plira 7 Ultra – If this is what Samsung calls it – solving these problems? Will he have a silicon-carbon battery and will keep his telephoto sensor? Time will say about it.
