After having tested in recent months, the Google Search app on Android has now largely deployed an “activity” tab in the lower bar.
Replacement of the “saved” tab, activity appears as the last element of the lower bar next to the house, research and notifications. It is grouped in three sections.
History Display your last four searches and all the sites you have opened from the results. Everyone is placed in a card with the favicon, the request or the name of the page, the day / the date, the time and the estate. The Overflow menu allows you to save, share and remove. Press the “[x] Elements “in the area to obtain a complete list of” History “. It’s a little faster than having to open the account menu for “research history”.
Save items is the old view of the collections “all recorded articles”, with everything that is presented as a carousel. This may include websites, images, products, Google Maps lists, movies and television shows.
Collections are the default and personalized groups of your registered items. If you prefer the old activity tab, this page is always accessible from “Saves & Collections” in the account menu.
We see this widely deployed with Version 16.19 of the Google application, including in the stable channel.
In other changes to the Google application, Google has attenuated the square daily listening card in the space carousel of the Home tab. The blue background is replaced by a low outline, like all the other elements of this section. This corresponds to how shortcuts under the search bar are now lacking in color if you have AI mode.
