The kidnapped father of the French cryptocurrency saved


French police saved the father of a millionaire of cryptocurrency who had been kidnapped and detained for ransom in a suburb of Paris.

The anonymous man was attacked Thursday in broad daylight in the center of Paris. It was gathered in a delivery van by four men carrying hoods, police sources said in the newspaper Le Figaro.

The French media say that the victim had a disappeared finger when he was saved from a house in Palaisau, south of Paris on Saturday.

Four suspects were arrested. This is the third abduction linked to the cryptocurrency industry of France so far this year.

The victim in the last case would be in their fifties. The Parisian newspaper said that his captors demanded that his rich son paid a ransom of 5 to 7 million euros (4.2 to 5.9 million sterling pounds).

Police were reportedly given to home by telephone signals. The four suspects are questioned.

In an article on X late Saturday, the French Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau congratulated the investigators for “exceptional work in the release of this man”.

The incident comes less than four months after David Balland, co-founder of the Ledger cryptocurrency company, was kidnapped with his wife at home in the center of France.

They were rescued by the police in a few days. Mr. Balland also cut off his finger.

The criminals had demanded a ransom of 10 million euros (8.5 million pounds sterling). Six men and a woman were arrested as part of this case.

And at the beginning of January, a 56 -year -old man was found living in the trunk of a car near the western city of Le Mans.

The media indicate that his captors had tried to extort money from his son, an influencer of cryptocurrency based in Dubai.
