The modification of your photos is much easier after the overhaul of Google photos now on Android


Google is Now discover an image editor redrawn for the Android Google Photos application that you could find easier to use. Press a photo of your Google photo gallery and press the Change the bar at the bottom of the screen. At the bottom, there is now a carousel with six options: auto, actions, markings, filters, lighting and color. Each option displays different editing tools at hand.

  • Auto: Improve, dynamic, improve
  • Actions: Crop, Magic Eraser, Move, Best Take, Blur Portrait, Pop, Sharpen, Denoise
  • Marking: pen, highlighter, text
  • Filters: filters, sky styles
  • Lighting: Ultra HDR, Light Portrait, Brightness, Tone, Contrast, Black Point, White Point, Reflections, Shadows, Vignette
  • Color: saturation, heat, shade, complexion, your blue
Above the image overview are icons for the automatic frame, an appearance report menu, an icon that returns the photo and another which rotates the image. In the upper left corner is the output button “X”, and on the right, a backup button and a three -point icon that leads to a contextual window that you can use to send comments to Google.

When you select a photo for the image editor, you can press, brush or draw a circle around the part of a photo you want to modify. A menu will appear with all the appropriate editing options at your disposal. For example, after having drawn a circle around a squirrel in a photo, I had the possibility of erasing, the squirrel, to move the squirrel to another place in the photo or to use the AI ​​to reinvent the photo. During the latter’s selection, I wrote that I wanted the squirrel to have a baseball cap and wears a hat, and this is the image with which I was presented.

As we said, the functionality now takes place on version 7.44 of Google Photos for the Android application after Google draws the switch from an update on the server side. If you have not received it yet, access Settings> Applications> See all XXX applications and scroll through photos. Press the photos and when you see the application information page, press Stop Force.

Apple iPhone users will not have to be jealous forever. Google plans to add this new image editor to the iOS version of Google Photos in the future.
