The Opera for iPhone deploys the management of redesigned tabs before the iOS 26 update

Before the Apple IOS 26 Update which should deploy to all iPhone users in the coming weeks, the Norwegian Bavator Opera has just updated its iPhone application with a new reworked tab management feature. This new version comes a little before Apple makes a handful of new Safari adjustments, including the brand new design thanks to the liquid glass user interface.

However, while Apple attaches its safari updates with the new major iOS versions, Opera continues to improve its browser as an alternative to Apple’s integrated solution. This time, the Norwegian company says that it has cracked “one of the greatest frustrations of iOS users”, which is “many unruly tabs”. With this new version, Opera for iOS brings a desktop style tab to iPhone users.

“We are all delighted with the launch of new iPhones, but here we are even more enthusiastic about the idea of solving the problem of the tab on iOS,” said Jona Bolin, Opera One product manager for iOS. “Some people say that we are too much in the overload of a tab, and indeed we are, because we can control it,” he added.

How the opera for iOS makes the management tab a breeze

Opera highlights the following new features available for iOS users with the updated tab management system:

Grid and list views: Users can choose between a grid or a list arrangement for the tabs. The first allows you to see several pages at the same time with more details, while the latter allows you to manage hundreds in a more compact view.

Group of tabs: As Opera One Desktop Browser, the company now offers the possibility of grouping tabs, so that you can have all the pages of your group trip, your work things on another, etc.

Tab search: If hundreds of tabs have opened, Opera now allows you to search for a specific page. A research icon allows you to enter a keyword linked to the title or URL.

Improved UI: Finally, the new management of tabs for iOS offers the possibility of sliding between icons to quickly access regular tabs, in private mode and in synchronized tabs from other devices.

Opera for iOS also adds the possibility of personalizing the menus, so that you can have your favorite features at a glance, in addition to easier access to Aria, the integrated AI of the opera, which is now in the middle of the lower bar.
