There are many ways to transfer Android files to Linux (and vice versa), but a new Linux application wants to make the process a little easier.
It’s called PackIt is written in rust, and has an intervimulation GTK4 / LIBADWAITA. His goal? To launch files, photos, videos and everything between Android and Linux devices.

Use a package to transfer files to / from Android
The process of transferring Pack On Linux to an Android device is simple:
- Open Pack
- Check that the condition indicates “loan” and visible
- Slide and place a file (or select manually)
- Click Send
- Select the device nearby
To go the other way and send Android files to Linux, just open Pack And check that the condition indicates “ready” and visible, then you (or the one nearby share something with you) share a file by choosing Fast share In the sharing sheet and choose your destination device.
Pack has a small set of Preferences available:
- Personalize the name of your device
- Activate / deactivate visibility
- Specify a download folder
- Activate a static front port
In addition, the application can run in the background and, in the next update, will use the notifications to indicate the file transfers in progress (at hand if you leave the application in progress while you are coming to do something else).
