The Proton Mail application for Android and iOS has been updated. It has a new design and adds the management of offline mode.
The Proton’s announcement indicates that the Customer Customer Customer now shares their code base on iOS and Android, to offer new features faster, simultaneously. So I compared the iOS and Android versions of the side by side application, they are identical.
Let’s start with the Composer button, it is no longer at the top of the screen. It is now located in the lower right corner of the reception box page and tale dynamically when you scroll. If you reach the top of your mailing list, it displays “compose”, and if you start to scroll, it turns into a compact button. This is similar to what the Gmail composition button works. The non -read meter has gone from the upper right to the top left of the screen.
Offline mode in Proton Mail allows you to read your letters when you are not connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network. When you send a letter when you are offline, it is automatically put in queue to send and when you go online, it will be sent. The same goes for the organization of your messages.
Android users can now repeat emails from the menu and plan messages to send later by pressing the clock next door to send. These features were already available on iOS.
The options of the proton mail sidebar have been slightly reorganized, but the options are the same.
The parameter page has been fully revised, you can now manage the safety keys for the application mail of the application. It also has a password management option on your behalf. The parameter page has several new options, including preferences, files and labels of mailboxes, spam and filters, confidentiality and safety and application customizations.
The application of Proton Mail is certainly faster than before, at least on iOS. My Android phone is very old, so I cannot make a difference, but many users seem satisfied with the performance of the new application.
That said, the parameter pages are slower to load, which was noticeable on iOS and Android. This is because synchronization is with the web messaging client. I say it, because you cannot change most of the parameters in offline mode, with the exception of application customizations.
Download Proton Mail from IOS app store or the Google Play Store. Last update, version 7.0.10 is still running for Android users, you can put aside the application from the Sorts of github. There are no AI features in the application.
