The redesign of the Google Photos viewer deploys Android

The fragmentary overhaul of Google Photos continues with the new spectator now available on Android after arriving on iOS last month.

This new “photo view” begins with the date, time and location displayed at the top. It makes you slide very conveniently. In the area, the only actions you get are a star to promote and overflow at three points.

Old vs new

More carousel in the lower sheet (which is now focused on the details of the library and the image), this menu contains:

Advertising – Scroll for more content

  • About: Can always access by sliding and now a location and targeted details rather than actions
  • Google Lens: Probably more in the lower toolbar given a large circle to seek availability
  • Create: Film, collage, cinematographic photo, video in video

  • Command photo
  • Use
  • Slideshow
  • Casting
  • Download or delete device
  • Print

Beyond the user interface “simpler, more modern and more intuitive”, a light theme (background) is now available. Meanwhile, the pill -shaped badges near the top allow you:

  • Change the photo category
  • Play or break a live or movement photo
  • Save a shared photo in your library
  • Save a photo or manage your storage

Then, the possibility of managing piles of photos and bursts with a “three -point icon attached to the selected sticker”.

This is where you can change your higher choice, delete battery, untangle or multi-selection to take bulk measurements in the battery photos.

At the bottom, you get sharing, edit (new icon), add to (album, archive or locked folder) and waste. We see this overhaul of the spectator widely deployed with Version 7.42 From Google Photos for Android.
