The Samsung lighthouse in 2022 has just beaten the phones in 2025 to Android 16

While other Android companies have not yet updated their 2025 flagship devices in Android 16, Samsung has been forward and has pushed the construction of its flagship 2022 product – the Galaxy S22 series. The One UI 8 update is currently live for the device in certain European regions.

In recent weeks, Samsung has aggressively deployed the ONE UI 8 update for its flagship smartphones and foldable. The stable construction first made its way to the Galaxy S25 in mid-September, followed by the S24 and S23 series jumping on the train in the following weeks. Within three weeks following the initial deployment, Samsung has now pushed Android 16 Live for the Galaxy S22 series.

If you have the ultra S22 or one of his little brothers and sisters, access Settings> Software update> Download and install, and press the Update button.

According to the official Samsung One UI 8 calendar, the Galaxy S22 series was to receive the update in October. Most companies tend to stretch these deployments until the end of the month – especially for older devices – but not Samsung. He assessed the One UI 8 Build team live during the first week of the month itself.

The reports indicate The Gyi7 firmware for S22 is currently live in Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, Italy and selecting other European regions. The update of 3.1 GB increases the security fix until September – not October, but I do not think that the owners of S22 will complain.

This marks the latest operating system update for the Galaxy S22, based on Samsung software policy. The phone made its debut with Android 12 and One UI 4.1, and Samsung was committed to four major Android updates.

A deployment of the UI 8 shows that Samsung does not play favorites

The Stable UI 8 firmware should soon also land for Samsung foldables 2022 – the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. All these devices will benefit from most improvements in a single user interface, unless Galaxy AI improvements.

Samsung has not only updated its high -end devices at One UI 8. The Stable Android 16 construction has also reached several of its mid -range phones, including the Galaxy A56, A55, A35 and A25. Availability will vary according to the region, so if the update has not yet presented, you may have to wait a few more days or weeks.
