If you are looking for the best fitness application to download on your Android phone, you are probably fed up with people recommend Strava. The Run social application is omnipresent, but if you do not want to overshadow your training sessions or do not base your personality around your 5K weekly jog, you will want something different.
Different is what you will find in this application. I have listed seven applications for runners, gymnasium lovers and general health enthusiasts who will help you transform your training or fitness. Not all of them are fitness applications, but I wanted to look outside the beaten track to find more interesting options.
None of these options were torn from ether; These are either the ones I used myself, or those who were initially recommended for me by other fitness users. They are therefore tried and tested.

1. Google Fit / Health Connect
The most obvious entry for this list is Google Fit, or Google Health Connect, as it will be called from July 2025.

I heard more people talk about alltrails in a vacation context than a fitness, but the application is useful for people who love the outdoors instead of terrestrial gymnasiums and repetitive treading carpets.
Alltrails is an outdoor application for hiking, running and bicycle, with a large road repository.
Using a card, you can cover trails near you by distance, intensity, planned exercise (walking, running, etc.) and type of track, in order to find something for you. It even tells you conditions on the track according to the weather.
And the application has many options, largely because its annals are full of underconscious routes by users. I used it in fairly distant places and I never had trouble finding a place to go, and if you are far from the internet, you can download trails on your phone.
Alltrails is really useful as a way to encourage you to go out in the wild and inspire you to run or hike somewhere attractive.

The Google Play Store is full of applications running, but there are also options for gym fans. One of them is the strong application.
Strong is charged as a digital version of a training notebook, somewhere that you can record everything you have done at the gymnasium (or at home). Then you can see previews of statistics and breakdowns over time to see an increase in repetitions, weights and iteration.
You can create training models if you want to try a new training, or follow the one you have done before you stick to the formula.
Unlike some other gym applications, Strong is not trying to plan your training for you, bombing yourself with weight suggestions that your gymnasium does not have or has a long queue. Instead, it’s pleasant and simple as a way to stick to the basics.
There is a monthly subscription to use Strong, but it is much cheaper than the above -mentioned planning applications. Its $ 4.99 per month or equivalent.

A really practical application for runners who are bored of doing the same route over and over is MAP My Run, owned by Under Armor.
Some readers may have used the MAP My Run website, and the key function of this is that it allows you to trace new routes in progress.
