It looks like science fiction, but Apple works with the synchrony neurotechnology startup to allow users with serious motor disabilities to control their devices via neural signals detected by an implantable brain computer device called smell.
The news occurs while Apple has announced a wide range of new accessibility features to come on its products later this year. Based on the previous models, most of these new and improved features will be delivered with iOS 19 and related updates.
The first five announcements to wait on WWDC 2025
Time is not flowing, and we are now less than a month from the Conference of World developers 2025 where Apple will introduce new software updates. Rumors are taking before the event, so we thought we highlight some of the updates on which we are impatient to find out more.
The WWDC 2025 will start with an opening event on June 9 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time. Apple will have a live flow available, but we will also provide coverage here on MacRumors.com and via the MacRumorslive Twitter account for those who cannot look.
Apple Acquisition indicates to the application of improved calendar on iOS 19 or beyond
Apple acquired the Canadian startup Mayday Labs in April 2024, according to a list of the European Commission recently spotted by the French blog Macgenneration.
Mayday Labs had developed a calendar, a task manager and a planning assistant powered by AI for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. The all-in-one application used AI to automatically plan your events and tasks at ideal moments, and it could learn your planning preferences and your daily models over time to further optimize your calendar.
It would be reasonable to assume that certain Mayday features and technologies could be added to the Apple Calendar application on the iPhone, iPad and Mac, under the Apple Intelligence umbrella.
