Apple has not added new emoji in iOS 18.5.

The last emoji update occurred in iOS 18.4, which introduced eight new designs on the Emoji keyboard. According to Apple official release Notes for iOS 18.5, the update includes a pride lock locking screen, bug corrections and features improvements, but no mention of new emoji.

The new emojis introduced in iOS 18.4 include objects, plants and a smiling face. Apple HUB published on X at 4:57 am on April 1, 2025, “These are the new emoji available today with iOS 18.4”, showing an image of the additions. The position received more than 473.5,000 views and more than 284 responses.

Emojis were part of wider updates in iOS 18.4, which also made improvements to the Photos application, Apple News + Recipes and a new sketch style in Image Playground. Apple has listed the update of emoji under the line: “8 new emoji, including objects, plants and a smiling face, are now available in the Emoji keyboard.” Apple has integrated them alongside system scale and accessibility improvements.

IOS 18.5 rather focused on the stability of the system and the refinement of features. It has introduced support for satellite service providers on iPhone 13 models, sets black screen problems in the Apple Vision Pro and “purchase with iPhone” application for purchases in the Apple TV application on third -party devices. Other additions included notification improvements for the use of the screen access code and enlarged parental control tools.

Users interested in Emoji updates should note that iOS 18.4 is the latest version to include new characters. No other emojis was added from iOS 18.5.
